自周兴和在《四川日报》上打出“寻人启事”后，妻子小申这才与他通了电话，他才知道了妻子的行踪。接到电话，周兴和心急火燎地立即驱车赶到绵阳，来到岳父母家里。

几个月不见，小申明显地消瘦憔悴了，可见这几月她也过得并不轻松。可在他们俩夫妻交谈时，岳父母和她姐姐、姐夫就在一旁气咻咻地守着，生怕小申吃亏。在这样的情形下，夫妻俩怎么能怎么交流感情，交换思想，达到相互谅解的目的呢？
